  3. Make payment and save a screenshot of the receipt.

  4. Upload the proof of payment in the Google Form and submit.

ABOUT CARE CORNER ORPHANAGE FOUNDATION

Care Corner Orphanage Foundation is a non - profit organization located in the Sanpatong district of Chiang Mai, Thailand, that has been providing a safe home and care for children from challenging family backgrounds.

For over 30 years, the foundation was established in 1995 by its directing founders, Ricky Tan and his wife, Lay Hwa. At present, the orphanage offers children and teenagers a nurturing atmosphere with basic necessities including food, housing, and education. The kids are also taught how to be self-sufficient and responsible, with an emphasis on their spiritual development and well-being. 

 

Visitors are welcome to volunteer by organising community service activities with the children, such as games, crafts, and music, to create memorable and positive experiences.

Participants from the foundation:
  • 45 children aged 6 - 20 years old

DO'S AND DON'T

DO'S
  • Do stand still when the national anthem is being played.

  • Culturally, Buddha images and statues are considered sacred and respected. 

  • Always be polite. Use polite particles such as "Ka" and "Krub"

  • Do the "Wai" when greeting and bow if apprioprate.

  • Respect the monks.

  • Dress appropriately.

DON'T
  • Do not wear shorts, tank tops and short skirts and any revealing clothes in the temples.

  • Do not touch people's head

  • Do not show the sole of your feet or point using your feet.

  • Do not make fun of Buddha statue or disrespect religious items

  • Do not mock, insult the monarchy/royalty.

  • Women should not sit next to monks 

  • Do not touch monks
